Beach Volleyball - Olympic Games, Sydney 2000

A lot of people are interested in the Beach Volleyball at the Sydney Olympics.

They built a huge temporary stadium on the sand right in front of the Bondi Beach Pavilion.

We had trouble finding pictures - most of these come from the National Library and are attributed. We hope they don't mind.

This is a shot of the inside during the womens final which the Aussies won.

And this is how Lush on Bondi looked during the Olympics. We were closed and the cafe was used as rooms for the competitors. The competitors used the old tunnels under the pavement to get access to the stadium court so there were no security problems.
